Since its beginnings in 2000, the Gladwin Athletics Hall of Fame has inducted twenty members. It is a prestigious honor, initiated by a recommendation from someone in our community.
Once nominated, an athlete's information is distributed to a committee along with the information about the rest of the candidates. The committee members study the information on each of the candidates and vote on their choices. The top vote getters are inducted into the Hall of Fame that year. Those nominees who are not selected, remain as nominees, and will be eligible for selection indefinitely.
The unique and beautiful Hall of Fame was designed and created by Gladwin High School teacher Ben Ball. It is located in the foyer of Gladwin High School, just outside of the gymnasium, where it draws a great deal of attention.
The Athletic Department invites you to visit the Gladwin Athletics Hall of Fame, where you can relive some of our greatest athletic accomplishments, and celebrate the massive efforts of a few of our alumni. They may be former Gladwin High School students, but they will always be Flying G's.
